Bangert, Jane D. (Killinger-Turow), age 79 of Clare, MI (formerly of West Branch, Waterford and Dryden) passed away Saturday, March 3, 2012. She was born August 15, 1932 in West Branch where she grew up, later moving to Pontiac after marrying Robert D. Turow on December 11, 1948. She later married Keith Bangert in 1975. Jane was a wonderful seamstress, she enjoyed all sorts of crafts and outdoor activities including hunting, fishing and camping. Jane worked at Pontiac Motors, later transferring to GM Orion Assembly, retiring in 1991. Jane is survived by her daughter Catherine (Joseph) Long of Lake, MI, grandsons, Danny (Trina) Long of Cookeville, TN, Dennis (Jilleen) Long of Troy, MI and Stephen (Terry) Turow of Florida, granddaughters, Devon (Joshua) Pontious of Dryden, MI, Jennifer Turow, Joanne (Michael) Mortenson of Washington and Christina (Carly) Turow of Idaho, 18 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Also surviving are her sisters, Dorothy Bigelow of Bellaire and E. Joyce Awrey of West Branch, her brothers Vernon (Cora) Killinger of West Branch and Melvin (Diane) Killinger of Rose City and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son A. Lynn Turow, her parents, Harley Sr. and Eva Killinger, her brothers, Harley Killinger Jr., Irving “Kelly” Killinger, Orville “Mort” Killinger and her sisters, Yvonne Delmotte and Belva Killinger. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Tuesday, March 6, 2012 from 1-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Rev. Lisa Cook will officiate with burial following at Edwards Township Cemetery.
