James “Termite” Davidson, age 87, passed away Thursday, July 18, 2013 at his home. Termite has lived in West Branch since 1987 and was previously from Warren, MI. He was born to Robert and Janet (Burt) Davidson on April 5, 1926 in Detroit, Michigan. Termite belonged to the American Legion Post #416 and West Branch Eagles. He was retired from Chrysler after 31 years and is a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in World War II and the Korean War. He enjoyed bowling, crossword puzzles, watching westerns and sports. Termite is survived to his beloved wife of 61 years, Frances T. Davidson of West Branch, his children, Deborah (Joe) Sarrach of Metamora, Denise (the late Barry) Rush of Clinton Township, Darlene (Dennis) Szymkiw of Clinton Township, Doreen (Paul) Morris of South Lyon, Darren (Gail) Davidson of Roseville, Darcy (Scott) Gignac of Highland, Darryl (Cheri) Davidson of Warren, Dawn (Ed) Bashor of Omer. Proud Grandpa of 20 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Monday, July 22, 2013 from 1-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at the funeral home.
