James D. Pappas, age 75 of Prudenville was born in Beaver Falls, PA February 8, 1930 and passed away December 24, 2005. He was raised in West Branch, Michigan. Preceding him in death was his mother, Helen Karfis Pappas, his father Edward Pappas and his two brothers, Bill and George Pappas all of Michigan. James is survived by his wife Neoma (Kitty or Kathy) Pappas, daughters, Jamie Thomas, Sue Pappas both of Michigan and Nancy Pappas of Florida, grandchildren, Dominic and Alexis, stepmother, Delores Pappas, sister, Frances Nickolas, half brothers, George and Chris Pappas and half sister, Vickie Gaudette all of Michigan, stepchildren, Fred Fisher, Tammy Johnson, Mike Fisher, Clarissa Fisher, Vicki Huffman and Clarence Huffman all of Michigan and many nieces and nephews. He retired with over 30 years from General Motors of Flint. He was a member of the Elks, Moose and Eagles, the Fraternal Order of Police and a life member of the AmVets and VFW of Michigan and Florida. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Kidney and Heart Association in James' name. A Memorial for family and friends at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Wednesday, December 28, 2005 at 12:00 pm until the time of the service at 2:00 pm.
