Ivan L. Plunkett

Ivan L. Plunkett, age 83 of West Branch passed away at his home. Mr. Plunkett had lived in West Branch since 1995. He was a member of the VFW Post #3775 of West Branch, a WWII Veteran, Tech 4 Rank, participating in the Battle of the Bulge, Infantry Regiment 79th Infantry Division. Mr. Plunkett is survived by his wife Delores of West Branch, children--Kaaren (Paul) Porter of Tacoma WA, Howard Plunkett of Spanaway WA, Gary (Judy) Plunkett of Garden City, stepchildren--Diane (Calvin) Thayer of West Branch, Onalee Croslin of Saginaw, Amy Lamoureux of Birch Run and William (Trudy) Dobler of Standish. Also surviving are grandchildren Tracey Ternyak and Paige (Jay) Anderson both of Puyallup, WA, Melissa Plunkett and Sarah Plunkett both of Garden City, step grandchildren, Tiffany Jones of West Branch, Brian (Wendy) Jones of Saginaw, Tonya Lamoureux and Tony Lamoureux both of Seattle WA, great-grandchildren--Kalen and Kinsey Anderson of Puyallup WA and step-great grandchildren, Shelby Jones (Grandpa Ivan's Peanut) of West Branch and Steven, Gabriella and Avril Lamoureux of Seattle WA. Also surviving are his half sister, Sandra Prince of Battle Creek and special people John, Jason and Bob Ternyak. He was preceded in death by his first wife Eunice Campbell Plunkett in 1976. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Memorial Contributions may be made to Hospice of Helping Hands of West Branch or to the VFW Post #3775 of West Branch.
