Inge Dow

Inge Dow (Baltrusch), daughter of Frieda and Fritz, sister of Christina and Marianna, entered the kingdom of heaven on Thursday, January 30, 2025. 

Inge is predeceased by her husband, Melvin Dow, whom she met when he was stationed in Germany. They were stationed in Texas and Germany. While in Germany, she had a daughter, May and son, Eddy. After leaving the military, the family moved to Nebraska so they could be next to Melvin’s family. Inge lived outside of Juanita, NE until the passing of Melvin. She was invited to move to Michigan to live with her daughter and son-in-law. Inge lived with them in West Branch, MI, for almost 20 years, where they shared laughter, love, and many road trips. 

Inge was loved dearly by May Reske and son in law Ken, her beloved son Eddy Dow and daughter in law Jeanette, two wonderful grandchildren Katherine and Jacob (Jessica), three sweet great grandchildren Alayna, Jason, and Josephine of Haysville and Wichita, KS.

Inge didn’t want a service because she was a simple person, who didn’t like to be the center of attention, but loved to smother family and friends with love. She will be missed every day, but we will thank God for the pleasure of knowing her and enjoying the time we were given.

Thank you to all of her care givers, whom she thought of quite highly, Amey Moeggenborg, Elaine and staff of McLaren, Dr. Sierra and staff, Dr. Levandowski and staff Melody, Wound Care Lisa and staff, and Orthotech Orthopedic Mike and Dustin.

Thank you especially to McLaren Hospice for their assistance during this trying time. They really had a great friend and nurse in Doris. She was invaluable in giving her quality care and dignity during her last months.

Thank you to everyone who gave her smiles, conversation, and listening to her stories. She loved you and her family so much.

Thank you again God for such a wonderful person to spend our lives with.
