Ida L. Reetz

Ida L. Reetz, age 88, passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2005 at the West Branch Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Reetz had lived in Rose City since 1968, formerly of Southfield. She was a member of the Rebekah’s, the Trinity United Methodist Church of Rose City, the Red Hat Society, and the Gabby Stitches. She also enjoyed crafts and traveling south for the winter to Bradenton, Florida. Mrs. Reetz is survived by her daughters, Janet (Norman) Reetz of Otisville, Joyce (David) Hittinger of White Lake, June Kiefer of Brighton, Joan (Bernie) Spafford of Whitmore Lake, Jean (Duane) Belding of Mt. Pleasant and Arlene Martin of Gregory, 16 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, her brother, R.D. (Della) Boddy of Highland, sister, Dora Jean (Walt) Babcock of Rose City, sisters in law, Alberta Seabert and Lucille Reetz, and her brother-in-law George Reetz. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews and extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Reetz, parents, Robert and Nina Boddy, step-father, Devere Borden, son-in-law, Bill Kiefer, granddaughter, Julia Reetz and great grandson, Robert Reetz II. Visitation will be held Friday, September 16, 2005 from 12-9PM at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in Rose City. The funeral will be held Saturday, September 17, 2005 at 1:30 PM at the Funeral Home. Rev. Donald Wojewski will officiate. A Rebekah’s service will be held Friday at 7:00 PM. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Trinity United Methodist Church of Rose City.
