Hilma Emma Clement

Hilma Emma Clement, age 91, passed away on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at The Brook in West Branch. She was born on September 10, 1926 in Ewen, MI to William and Selma (Mattson) Johnson. Hilma had lived in West Branch since 2017, formerly of Allen Park. She worked at Symak’s Restaurant in Lincoln Park for 30 years and Hudson at Fairlane in Dearborn for 10 years. Hilma was always well dressed. She enjoyed playing BINGO, playing slot machines, sewing, gardening, dancing and loved to shop and play pinochle.

Hilma is survived by her children, Joel (Jill) Clement and Suzette (Maynard Green) Clement; nieces and nephews, Peggy (Late Bruce) Knivila, Joanne (Larry) Patuano, Sally Kempanien, Cathy Welsh, Robert Benedict, Jamie Sieler, Bill Pietila, James Benedict; and many great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Joel; brothers and sisters, Ruth (Albert) Pietila, Melba (Edward) Benedict, Eugene Johnson and Leonard Johnson; nieces and nephews, Bobby Pietila, Jeannie Benedict, Eddie Benedict, and Nancy Ashbrook,

Visitation at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will be on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 5:30 p.m. Pastor Jon Scot will officiate.
