Herbie Elwood Davis

Herbie E. Davis, 92, of West Branch, MI and former longtime resident of Newton Falls, OH, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2024. He was born in Omer, MI on December 4, 1931. He is survived by his wife RenaJoan, his children, Teddie (Susan), Darlene Davis-Hoffman (Leroy), Bonnie, and Clifford Davis and 9 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his oldest son Nathan.

Herbie was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He served in the Korean War and subsequent 5 years of reserves. He was a recipient of the Bronze Star. Returning from service he pursued a career with General Motors and retired in 1987 as a manager of the Lordstown, OH, Van Plant. He also served on the Newton Falls Township zoning board.

Herbie enjoyed working on all things mechanical, traveling, camping and gardening. He especially enjoyed the time that he spent vacationing in Myrtle Beach with his wife Rena. Herbie was known for his dedication to his family and to his friends, and always being there to help someone in need. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, his quick smile and his deep kindness.

No memorial services will be held, however fond memories of Herbie will remain with us forever.
