Henry Adrian Gassman

Henry “Hank” Adrian Gassman, age 71, passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2017 in Gaylord, MI. He had lived in Alger, MI for the past 47 years, formerly of Taylor, MI. Hank was born on October 16, 1945 to Henry and Mary Jane (Batten) Gassman Sr. in Detroit, MI. He married Dorothy Garter on February 7, 1963 in Detroit. Hank worked for Fuelgas for 32 years. He started working as a delivery driver and then went into sales. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, carving, collecting antiques, and playing guitar. Hank also enjoyed spending time in Trout Lake, MI at his cabin in the U.P.

Hank is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Dorothy Gassman of Alger, MI; daughter, Sandra (Jim Arini) Caudle of St. Helen, MI; sons, Ron (Rachel) Gassman of West Branch, MI, David (Angela) Gassman of Muskegon, MI, and Rick Gassman of West Branch, MI; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Jennifer, Kristine, Katie, Alyson, Adriana, Bret, Devin, Desirae, Stephanie, Stephen, Samantha, Xaver, and Donavon; great grandchildren, Tyler, Felicity, Faith, Fiona, Mikey, Aaliyah, Robbie, Aviana, Aiden, and Selena; sister, Kathryn (Bernie) Warner of Gaylord, MI. He is preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother, and 1 sister.

Visitation at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will be held on Monday, April 17, 2017 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
