Helen Marie Austin

Helen Marie Austin, age 89, passed away on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at her home in West Branch, MI surrounded by her family. She was born on January 19, 1933 in West Branch to John and Beatrice (Little) Beck. Helen was determined to be here for her birthday and she made it! She then went to celebrate with Jesus.

Helen lived in West Branch for her entire life. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Klacking Creek and enjoyed coloring calendars and greeting cards, painting birdhouses, and was always ready to help anyone in need.

Helen is survived by her children, Dennis (Kris) Austin of Walling, TN, Jacque (Thomas) King of Imlay City, MI, Kim (Barb) Austin of West Branch, John (Doreene) Austin of Culpeper, VA, and Susan Austin (and Butchie) of West Branch; 18 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren 2 great great grandchildren; sister, Mary Jane Briggs of Bartlett, TN; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Clifford Austin in 1982, and sister, Elizabeth (Jerome) Zettle.

Visitation at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Sunday, January 23, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. with a rosary at 3:00 p.m. The funeral mass will be at Holy Family Catholic Church, 402 W. Peters Rd., West Branch on Monday, January 24, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. Deacon Glen Painter and Father David Parsch will officiate. Burial will be at Lane Heights Cemetery in Lupton, MI.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Holy Family Catholic Church and Compassus Hospice.
