Helen M. Nutt

October 28, 1928 — June 13, 2003

Mrs. Nutt passed away at her home. She had lived in St. Helen for the past 51 years. Mrs. Nutt was a Braille Transcriber for 20 years, transcribing for students in the West Branch-Rose City School District, the Gerrish-Higgins School District and for COOR. She was a member of the M.A.T.V.I. (Michigan Association Transcriber for the Visually Impaired) since 1991. Mrs. Nutt is survived by her grandchildren--Barbara (Hank) Rodgers of Flint and Michael (Molly) Mathe of Ann Arbor, great-grandchildren--Starlet, Michael, Heather and Noah. Also surviving is her sister, Sarah Zitch of St. Petersburg, FL. and her in laws, Dolly and Bill Harper of Deland, FL., David Nutt of Bad Axe, MI., and Marge and Jim Miller of Rathdrum, ID. She was preceded in death by her husband Melvin Nutt in 1989, her son Melvin (Mike), her parents, brothers-John (Jack) and Donald and a sister Georgene Ickes. Visitation will begin at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in St. Helen on Wednesday June 18, 2003 from 4-9. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Rev. Frank Enboden will officiate with burial following at Fairview Cemetery, St. Helen. Memorial Contributions may be made to Hospice of Helping Hands, West Branch.
