Hedwig M. Sirmeyer

Mrs. Sirmeyer, age 72 of West Branch passed away at her home after an extended illness. She had been a resident of West Branch since 1987, formerly of Waterford. She was a member of the Pioneers of America Club and the St. Helen Catholic Church. She retired from Michigan Bell Telephone in 1978 after 25 years of service. Mrs. Sirmeyer is survived by her husband, Richard of West Branch, her daughters, Marieanne (Ray) Buchanan of Lake Orion and Theresa (Dan) Korbijn of Highland, grandchildren--Christine (Jayson) Pinkerman, Brian (Danielle) Buchanan, Shawna Mallett and Jayce (Meighan) Ralph and a great-grandson, Zachary Buchanan. Also surviving is a brother, Cass Krajewski of Eastpointe, her mother in law, Marie Sirmeyer-Thomas and a brother in law Thomas (Donna) Sirmeyer both of Nashville TN. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Ruth Ann Mallett of Waterford. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Friday May 7, 2004 from 2-9 P.M. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, 10:00 A.M. at St. Helen Catholic Church in St. Helen, MI. Fr. Robert Bissot will officate with burial following at Fairview Cemetery, St. Helen.
