Harvard A. Vallance

Harvard A. Vallance age 79 passed away Sunday, August 26, 2012 at the Saginaw Veterans Hospital. Harvard has been a resident of West Branch since 1972 formerly of Rochester. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving with the 17th regiment combat team, and the 7th infantry division. Harvard is survived by his children, Vanessa Vallance of West Branch, Harvard (Sharon) Vallance of Perry, FL, Sheila (Butch) Gray of West Branch, and Julie (Raymond) Rouse of Clio. He has 8 grandchildren Justin, Tiffany, Joshua, Kyeelie, Randy, Rodney, Michael, and Dustin, and 8 great grandchildren Brittany, Gage, Haley, Grace, Gabriel, Hunter, Landon, Alex, Alyssa and Lucas.Also surviving is his sister Linda Vallance of Grayling, Betty (Doug) Roberts of Oxford, brother John (Charlotte) Vallance of Lake Orion, brother Bob Vallance of Oxford, brother Glen (Sue) Vallance of Fl, and sister Janet (Chuck) Peterson of Rochester. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Vallance, daughter Cindy Sikorski, and brothers Brad Vallance, and Chuck Vallance. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, August 30, 2012 at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch at 1:00 PM. Visitation will be held prior to the funeral from 11-1 PM. Pastor Sam Cottle will officiate with burial following at the Selkirk Cemetery in West Branch. Memorial Contributions can be made to the family of Harvard Vallance.
