Harold Kenneth Marsh, age 82, passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at his home in Alger with his family by his side. He was born on February 11, 1938 in Flint to Herbert and June (Deming) Marsh. Harold lived in Alger for the past 28 years, formerly of Bay City. He served in the National Guard for six years and was a member of the Ogemaw Hills Free Methodist Church in West Branch. He enjoyed camping, feeding the deer, hunting, fishing, boating and riding his golf cart, “Goofy Cart”. Harold was a playful grandpa and loved spending time with his grandchildren and family.
Harold is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Carole Marsh of Alger; son, Harold (Kelly) Marsh of Prescott; daughters, Brenda Robinson of St. Johns, Cheryl (Kent) Halstead of Grand Haven and Bonnie (Bryon) Voy of Holland; grandchildren, Erin (Jason) Bouma, Shannon (Donavon) Hornbeck, Stacy (Jonathan) Gielda, Debbie (Shayne) Tyler, Drew (Anna) Robinson, Timothy Marsh, Micah (Alida) Halstead, Josiah Halstead, Lindsay Tucker and Nathaniel Voy; great grandchildren, Katelyn, Brayden, Allison , Evalynn, Skylar, Layla, Laikin, Eastin, Jasmine, Karianna and one on the way; and sisters, Nancy Anderson of Prescott and Carol Sue (Ray) Bedtelyon of West Branch. He is preceded in death by his parents, great grandson, Weston.
Visitation at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the Ogemaw Hills Free Methodist Church on Thursday, March 12, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Harvey Fry will officiate.
