Harold Joseph Bragg, age 76, passed away at his home in West Branch, MI on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 with his family by his side. Harold was born on December 17, 1939 to Clarence and Caroline (Schaefer) Bragg in Flint, MI. He was a member at the St. Joseph Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus Council #2022. Harold was a hardworking husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend. He was a man of great faith. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, farming, and woodworking. For years he enjoyed calling bingo at the K of C Hall. Harold and Rose enjoyed their retirement years in Florida. He loved his wife and family dearly.
Harold is survived by his loving wife, Rosella (Walter) Bragg of West Branch; children, Brenda (Barry) Awrey of West Branch, Greg (Tina) Bragg of West Branch, Dana (Norm) Kline of West Branch, and Dawn (Bill) Van De Car of Gig Harbor, WA; grandchildren, Amber (Jeramy) Awrey, Sarah Awrey, Kimberly (Ben) Pierce, Daniel (Shalon) Kline, Dr. William (Brittany) Van De Car, Kaitlyn (Neil) Hull, Justin (Courtney) Bragg, Ryan (Lisa) Bragg, Jason (Stephenie) Bragg, Allison, Cameron, Dylan, Dallas, Jeffery, Ashleigh, Tiffani, and Nathan; great grandchildren, Ethan, Madison, Karsen, Lillian, MacKenzie, Addalynn, Morgan, Annalyse, Peyton, and Aelyn; sisters, Gerry Kelsey, Lois Corba, Millie Sharrow, and Elaine (Tom) Coha; brothers, Ray (Bev) Bragg, Ken (Mary) Bragg, Leonard (Helen) Bragg, and Dennis (Barb) Bragg; and brothers and sisters in law, Ray Walter, Judy (John) Roach, and Louise Kusky. He is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Caroline Bragg; loving son, Kirk Bragg; in laws, Don and Ida Walter; brothers in law, Floyd Kelsey, Frank Sharrow, and Paul Corba; sisters in law, Kay Bragg, Deanna Bragg, and Lois Walter; niece, Nancy Mitchell; and nephews, John Corba and Joey Walter.
Visitation at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Sunday, June 19, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 6:30 p.m. followed by a Scripture Service. The Celebration of Life Mass will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Monday, June 20, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. with visitation starting at 9:00 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Father Patrick Maher will officiate.
