Harold "Bj" G. Stephens Jr.

Harold G. “BJ” Stephens Jr, age 44, passed away Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at St. John Hospital & Medical Center in Detroit, MI. BJ has lived in Detroit since 2011, previously of Alger, MI. He was born to Harold Glendon Carl Stephens Sr. and Phyllis (Stein) Frederick on July 29, 1969 in Saginaw, MI. BJ enjoyed fishing, hunting, riding his Harley, and loved his dogs: Bear, Madison, and Chopper. He was always giving anyone a helping hand and had a great sense of humor. BJ is survived by his father, Harold Stephens; mother, Phyllis (Stanley) Frederick; sisters: Sherry Stephens, Glenda Valentine, Dawn (Eric) Webb, Shelia (Carl) Carpenter, Shellee Stephens, Danielle (Chris) Clark, Shelline (Doug) Wellman; brothers: Greg (Dawn) Frederick; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandparents: Harry and Florence Stein, Catherine Marie and Archie French, Harold G. Stephens; uncle: Bobby Stein; and aunt: Donna Hoffmann. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Thursday, July 24, 2014 from 6-9:00 p.m. and Friday, July 25, 2014 from 1-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Ogemaw Springs Cemetery. Pastor Dan Stoneback will officiate. Memorial Contributions may be made to the family.
