Gloria M. Oswald

Gloria M. Oswald, age 75, passed away Thursday March 31, 2005 at West Branch Regional Medical Center. She had been a resident of West Branch for all of her life. She was very active in city and county governments, serving as the city clerk/treasurer from October 15, 1979 through December 31, 1988, the city manager of West Branch from April 19, 1983 through April 6, 1987, an Ogemaw County Commissioner from 1988 to 1992, and a city council member from May 24, 1993 through June 18, 2001. Gloria is survived by her children, John (Theresa) Oswald of Lansing, James (Jeanette) Oswald, Gerrold Oswald, Mary Ann (John) Crampton and Jacqueline Munsell all of West Branch, 7 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and her brothers James Huml of Traverse City and Ronald Huml of Dover, NH. Visitation will begin on Saturday April 2, 2005 from 10:00 A.M. to 1:30 P.M. at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch. At 2:00 P.M., visitation will resume at the Trinity Episcopal Church in West Branch until the time of the service at 3:00 P.M. Rev. Gail Vince will officiate, with burial following at Brookside Cemetery, West Branch. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Trinity Episcopal Church, West Branch.
