Gloria Jean Thompson

Gloria Jean Thompson, age 80, passed away on Monday, July 18, 2022 at Margaret’s Meadow Assisted Living in Remus, MI. She was born on July 8, 1942 in West Branch to Raymond and Ada (Wangler) Trout.

Gloria lived in West Branch for most of her life. She loved NASCAR and snowmobiling racing, playing cards, going to the senior center, crocheting, knitting, and making afghans.

Gloria is survived by her sisters, Geraldine Chrivia of West Branch and Roberta Smith of Bridgeport, MI; brother, James Trout of West Branch; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Patsy (Robert) Marshall, nieces Annesa Smith and Linda Elseworth, nephews Raymond Trout, Terry Chrivia, and John Bitkuski, brother-in-law Jack Chrivia, sister-in-law Charlene Trout, and fiancé Jim Bauman.

The funeral mass will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in West Branch on Friday, July 22, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation starting at 9:00 a.m. at the church. Father Emmanuel Finbarr will officiate. Burial will follow at Selkirk Cemetery.
