Gladys I. Schuhmacher

Gladys I. Schuhmacher passed away Thursday May 6, 2010 in Bay City, Michigan she was 81 years old. Gladys has been a resident of Houghton Lake Heights since 1996 previously of West Branch. She was a member of the Red Hats Society and the St. Joseph Catholic Church. She worked as an accountant/bookkeeper, and a real estate agent. She loved gardening, flowers, and ballroom dancing. Gladys was active at her churches, St. Joseph Catholic Church and Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. Gladys is survived by her 5 children David Schuhmacher of Tampa, FL; Gary (Judy) Schuhmacher of Flint; Yvonne Allen of Las Vegas, NV; Colleen (Mike Green) Williams of West Branch; and Walter F. (Dorothy) Schuhmacher II of West Branch. 7 grandchildren- Stephanie, Tony, Austin, Walt III, David, Alexander, and Paul. 6 great grandchildren- Nicholas, Serena, Mason, Regan, Allison and Autumn. 2 sisters- Louise Dominick of Rochester Hills; and Beatrice Mayes of Bay City. Gladys is preceded in death by her husband Walt Schuhmacher in 1996 a daughter Patricia Mann in 1973 and a brother Leo Cornett. Visitation for Gladys will be Monday May 10, 2010 from 2-9PM at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch. Funeral Services will be Tuesday May 11, 2010 at 2:30PM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in West Branch. Fr. Patrick Maher will officiate.
