Gladys I. Burger

Gladys Isabella Burger, age 89, of Springhill, Florida passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2009 at her daughter’s home in Tecumseh. Mrs. Burger had been a resident of Springhill since 1984, formerly of Imlay City. She and her husband Lyle pastored at the Cadillac Revival Center, the Midland Full Gospel Church, the Imlay City Assembly of God and the Haven of Rest in Springhill, Florida. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking and raising her children and grandchildren. Gladys is survived by her children, Lyle (Betty) Burger Jr. of Midland, Gordon (Helen) Burger of Springhill, FL, Arnold (Judy) Burger of Caro, Carol (Virgil) Klein of Alger, Bethany (Richard) Fauble of Tecumseh, Linda (Billy) Mills of Marlette, William (Debbie) Burger of Bay City and Patricia (Henry) Lambert of Springhill,FL. Also surviving are 23 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren and her sister, Lavine Tarno of Flint. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lyle, a grandson, Eldon Klein, granddaughter, Christina Oaks, 2 brothers and 4 sisters. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Saturday, August 29, 2009 from 4-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Rev. Billy Mills, Rev. Gordon Burger and Rev. Arnold Burger will officiate with burial following at Edwards Township Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to Covenant Compassion Ministries.
