Gertrude Mary Johnson

Gertrude Mary Johnson, age 85, passed away on Sunday, July 30, 2023, at the Mediloge of Sterling. She was born on October 20, 1937, in Detroit, MI to John and Verna (Cannon) Kraft. She lived in Alger since 2000, formerly of Shelby Township, MI.

Trudy married Kenneth Johnson on December 31, 1987, in Sterling Heights, MI. She was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church of Sterling Heights and the Prince of Peace Church in Rose City, MI. She enjoyed playing euchre and bunko, having dinners in the park, the county fair, and attending the Forest Lake Homeowners annual meetings.

Trudy is survived by her loving husband Kenneth Johnson of Alger; sons John (Ann Marie) Wagonis of Wimauma, FL, Ronald Wagonis of Washington Township, MI, and Brian (Kathy) Hilton of Kingsport, MI; daughter Jennifer (Scott) Baird of Irmo, SC; and brother John “Jack” Kraft of Houghton Lake, MI.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
