Geraldine "Geri" Gehl

Geraldine Gehl, age 75, of West Branch, passed away at West Branch Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Gehl, formerly of Burton, returned to West Branch in 1982. She was a member of the Eagles Ladies Auxiliary #3646 and the Moose Lodge Auxiliary #2051 both of West Branch. She enjoyed bowling, reading, crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, sewing and playing cards. Mrs. Gehl is survived by her husband Leo Gehl of West Branch, children--Daniel (Pamela) Gehl of Paw Paw, John Gehl of Lupton, Christine (David) Warren of Burton, Michael (Lynn) Gehl of Memphis TN, and Richard (Mary Jo) Gehl of Portage, 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her sisters, Betty Jones of Flint and Muriel Kellerman of Fenton and her brother, Clarence "Dale" (Ima) Sherman of Rankin. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Thursday April 28, 2005 from 6-9 P.M. and Friday from 10 A.M.-2 P.M. and 4-9 P.M. The Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 P.M. on Saturday at the Funeral Home. Fr. Robert Bissot will officate with burial following at Brookside Cemetery, West Branch. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Foundation or to Hospice of Helping Hands, West Branch. A Special Thank you is extended from the family to all the staff at Bortz Health Care in West Branch for their caring and loving treatment of Geri.
