Gerald Joseph Lehman

Gerald Joseph Lehman, age 81, passed away on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at MyMichigan Medical Center in West Branch, MI. He was born on April 13, 1941 in West Branch to Leo and Nedra (Wangler) Lehman. Jerry lived in West Branch his entire life.

On July 22,1972 he married Shirley Henry in Port Huron, MI.

Jerry graduated from West Branch High School in 1959 and then went to work on the family farm. He served on the board with Greenstone Farm Credit Services and was a Horton Township Trustee for 20 plus years. Jerry was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus Council #2022 where he was a 3rd Degree Knight. He enjoyed horses, snowmobiling, traveling, going on cruises, and picking on his grandchildren, nieces, and nephews especially when a buttered roll was involved.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Shirley Lehman of West Branch; sons, Dan Lehman of West Bloomfield, MI and Jim (Tiffany) Lehman of West Branch; grandchildren, Alex, Niki, Rachel, TJ, and Kourtney; siblings, Jack (Sue) Lehman, Phyllis Lehman, Larry (Sandy Nicassio) Lehman, Dale Lehman, Mike (Jann) Lehman, Mark (Cindy) Lehman, and Karen (Dean) Ross; and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Nedra Lehman and sister-in-law, Nadine Lehman.

Visitation at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Thursday, June 30, 2022 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a K of C rosary at 7:00 p.m. The funeral mass will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in West Branch on Friday, July 1, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. Father Emmanuel Finbarr will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
