Gerald J. Deroso

Gerald J. DeRoso, age 71 of West Branch, passed away Tuesday July 19, 2011 at West Branch Regional Medical Center. Jerry had lived in West Branch for the past 11 years, formerly of Lake Orion. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge of West Branch and the SAL of Luzerne. He enjoyed golfing and snowmobiling. Jerry is survived by his wife Lecretia “Lou” De Roso of West Branch, 2 sons, Gerald (Sandy) DeRoso Jr of Southfield and Craig (Cheri) DeRoso of Oxford and 4 grandchildren, Jen, Steven, Kaylee and Ryan DeRoso. Also surviving are his brothers, Barney (Sandy) DeRosa, John (Yvonne) DeRoso and Michael DeRoso all of West Branch and his sisters, Sharon (Kenny) Brabo of Lake Orion, Pat (Jack) Dempsey of Brown City and Debbie (Bob) Anderson of Lapeer, his aunts, Doris DeRoso of West Branch and Barbara DeRoseau of Bradenton, Fl. and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Betty DeRoso and his uncles Bill DeRoso, Joe DeRoseau and Leonard DeRoseau and his sister in law Aileen DeRosa. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Thursday, July 21, 2011 from 2-9 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Gerald will lie in state at Holy Family Catholic Church on Friday beginning at 11:00 a.m. until the Celebration of Life at 12:00 p.m. Fr. Patrick Maher will officiate. Memorial Contributions may be made to Hospice of Helping Hands or to Holy Family Catholic Church.
