George Chorey

George Chorey age 82, of Rose City passed away Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at West Branch Regional Medical Center. George has been a resident of West Branch since 1986, previously of South Lyon. George was a member of St. John’s Byzantine Catholic Church in Omer, MI and owned the View Point Resort in Lupton, MI. George is survived by his wife, Wanda T. Chorey of West Branch, children, George (Sandy) Chorey of Cheboygan, John Chorey of Cheboygan, Georgia (Keith) Larson of Petoskey, and Wanda (Tony) Wilson of West Branch, 12 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and brother, Nicholas Chorey. He was preceded in death by parents, Nicholas and Mary (Andrek), parents-in-laws, John and Antoinette (Skuda), siblings Mary Swanberry, and Anne Thomas. Visitation for George will be Friday, October 19, 2012 from 10-12 PM at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch. His funeral will begin at noon and burial will follow at the Lane Heights Cemetery in Lupton. Father Patrick Maher will officiate. Memorial contributions can be made to the Family of George Chorey.
