George Arnold Riskovitch, age 71, passed away on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at his home in Lupton, MI. He had lived in Lupton for over 30 years, formerly of Saginaw, MI. George was born on January 1, 1945 in Saginaw to Alexander and Gertrude (Minnett) Riskovitch. He served in the United States Air Force for 3 tours during Vietnam and retired from the service as a Chief Master Sgt. George was a member of the Lions Club in Rose City, MI. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, and taking care of his lawn and garden.
George is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Riskovitch of Lupton, MI; children, Sally (Marvin) Lindsay of Vandalia, IL and Todd (Mariah) Riskovitch of Las Vegas, NV; grandson, Jeffrey Riskovitch of Las Vegas, NV; brother, Alex Riskovitch; and brothers in law, John Reetz, Norman (Janet) Reetz, and Tim Reetz. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Joann.
Visitation will begin at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in Rose City on Saturday, July 16, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A Memorial Service with Veteran Honors will be held on Sunday, July 17, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. at the Rose Township Hall. Rev. Dan Stoneback will officiate.
