Gene Gary Lund

Gene Gary Lund, age 78, passed away on Friday, January 18, 2019 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Saginaw, MI. He was born on April 17, 1940 in Shannon Co., MO to Frank and Mabel (Haskins) Lund. Gary had lived in Roscommon since 2005, formerly of Whitmore Lake, MI. He married Evelyn Valentine on June 25, 1960 in Whitmore Lake. He retired from Federal Mogul, an automotive research center in Ann Arbor. Gary was a member of the St. Helen Snow Packers and served on the board. He enjoyed snowmobiling, hunting, camping, fishing, and attending high school sporting events in Roscommon. Gary was a very social person.

Gary is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Evelyn Lund of Roscommon; son, Rodney (Joanie Carlington) Lund of Whitmore Lake; daughter, Robin Lund of Whitmore Lake; grandchildren, Christopher, Kyle, Chelsea, Brenden and Alissa; nephew, Terry Lund of Clinton; and daughters in law, Donna Dodd, Deborah Pomo and Tammy Whittaker. He is preceded in death by his parents, son, Darryl Lund, sister, Edna Rush, and brother, Frank “Bud” Lund Jr.

Visitation at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in St. Helen will begin on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1:30 p.m. Pastor Ken Peterson will officiate.
