Gene E. Densmore

Gene has gone home to his Savior! Gene E. Densmore of Gladwin, passed away on Sunday June 16, 2013. He was born in Northville, Mi. on April 10, 1940. He married Mary Hankinson on January 16, 1960 in Denver CO. They were married on Lowry A.F.B. Gene served in the USAF from 1959 thru 1963, during the Vietnam era. Gene was a tool engineer and worked in the automotive industry for several companies. He was a member of the American Legion and Society of Manufacturing Engineers. He loved hunting and being outdoors. He attended Edwards Community Church and loved the wonderful people there. Gene is survived by his wife Mary Densmore of Gladwin, Kent (Carolyn) Densmore of Angola, NY, David (Terri) Densmore of Arcade, NY, seven grandchildren Mike, Corrine, Robert, Tim, Nick, Travis and Stephanie and one great-grandson Max. Also surviving is his sister Ruth Cooper and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Milton Densmore and Esther Kind, his two brothers Delbert and Ron and his two sisters Madeline Hodge and Gerri VanDam. There will be a Memorial Service in late July at the Edwards Community Church on Greenwood Road in West Branch. Arrangements are in the care of Steuernol &McLaren of West Branch. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Ogemaw County Veterans Alliance.
