Gary Richard Vasley Sr.

Gary Richard Vasley Sr., age 72, passed away on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Saginaw, MI. He was born on April 4, 1949 in Detroit to Richard and Gladys (Radziejewski) Vasley. Gary lived in Alger since 2014, formerly of Sterling Heights.

Gary married Deborah Gelles in Detroit on March 1, 1969. He was a member of the Secord Lake Eagles and the Houghton Lake Moose Lodge. Gary served in the United States Navy during Vietnam War from 1968-1969. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, and being the handyman around the house.

Gary is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Deborah; son, Rick Vasley Jr.; daughter, Victoria (Zach) Olevenick; grandchildren, Zachary and Michael Olevenick; and brother, John (Tonya) Vasley. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister.

Per his wishes, cremation has taken place.
