Gary Earl Guest

Gary Earl Guest, age 79, passed away on Monday, January 24, 2022, at McLaren Bay Region West Branch. He was born on May 2, 1942, in Flint, MI to Earl and Odetta (Jones) Guest.

Gary lived in Lupton for the past 25 years, formerly of Flint. He graduated from Flint Northern High School and worked for the Chevrolet V8 Engine Plant in Flint, retiring after 35 years. He was a member of the UAW Local #659 and enjoyed hunting, fishing, coaching hockey, blooper ball, and cheering for the maize and blue. He loved music from the ‘50s and ‘60s and was known to sing along and bust out a dance move. Gary found joy in all his hobbies and passions, but his greatest joy in life was his family. He loved being a grandpa and he would light up the room with his silliness. Gary loved to tell stories and they got bigger and better each time he told them.

Gary is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Sandra Guest of Lupton; sons, Gary (Michele) Guest Jr. of Rockford, Kevin Guest of Lupton, and Kyle (Jill) Guest of Davison; grandchildren, Travis (Kelsey) Guest, Mackenzie (Jason) Clements, Tyler Guest, Garrett Guest, and Jessica Guest; great grandchildren, Paisley, Oliver, and Emerson; and sisters, Jan Dreasky of Durand, and Nancy (Fred) Paul of Flushing.

He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Sally Hoffman.

Cremation has taken place and no service is scheduled at this time.
