Frederick Charles O'Connell

Frederick "Rick" O’Connell, age 65, passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at McLaren Bay Region in Bay City, MI. He was born on January 11, 1957 in Flint, MI to Ronald and Arlene (Gazlay) O’Connell.

Rick lived in West Branch since 1995 formerly of California. He was a member of the NRA and the Eagles Club. Rick enjoyed working on cars, camping, and fishing. He also enjoyed working with big cats while living in California and training animals. He cherished spending time with his grandchildren and loved his dogs.

Rick is survived by his son, Sean (Chelsey) O’Connell of West Branch; grandchildren, Aurora and Declan; sisters, Kathryn O’Connell of West Branch and Kathleen O’Connell of Ventura, CA; niece, Kathryn (Chad) Wisniewski of West Branch; great nephews, Aidan and Joshua; great niece, Alanna; and many cousins and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Ronald O’Connell.

Cremation has taken place with a celebration of life to be held at a later time.
