Freddy E. Tuma, age 62 of St. Helen passed away Thursday, April 1, 2010 at his home. Freddy had lived in St. Helen since 2000, formerly of Oxford. He was a member of the American Legion Post #416 and the UAW Local #594. Freddy enjoyed his family, fishing, hunting, hockey, Michigan football, bowling, motor cross, snowmobiling, partying and playing sports. He is known for his legendary sense of humor. Freddy is survived by his wife Christine Tuma of St. Helen, children, Melissa Watters of Orlando, FL, Kristi Tuma-Cole of Grand Blanc, Mike (Kathy) Foster of British Columbia, Joey Foster of Lapeer, Sara Larange of West Branch, Andrew Wright of Traverse City and Robert Wright Jr. of Afghanistan and grandchildren, Maria Realmuto, Ashley Watters, Alexander Cole, Natalie Watters, Mason Cole and Austin Larange. Also surviving are his brothers, Bernard (Audrey) Tuma of Standish and Roy (Maggie) Hoffman of Jacksonville, FL and his sisters, Evelyn (Troy) Gray of Wonder Lake, IL and Angela (Steve) Beardsley of Standish. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vivian (Wampole) Hoffman and Richard Hoffman and his sister, Donna Cooke. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in St. Helen will begin at 12:00 p.m. Monday, April 5, 2010 until the time of the service at 3:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, St. Helen
