Fred Allen Sperry

Fred Allen Sperry, age 80, passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2014 in St. Helen, MI. Fred has lived in St. Helen since 1977, formerly of Saginaw, MI. He was born to Fred and Helen (Jenkins) Sperry on March 4, 1934 in Brant, MI. Fred married Donna Clark on June 11, 1958 in Vernon, TX. Fred enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, snowmobiling, mushrooming, woodworking and cutting wood. He was a Boy Scout Leader from 1974-1986 and a life member of North American Hunting and Fishing Club. Fred is survived by his children: Allen (Cathy) Sperry of Roscommon, MI, Craig (Karen) Sperry of Beaverton, MI, Fred (Anna) Sperry II of Gladwin, MI, Tammy (Dennis) Preston of Higgins Lake, MI, Russell (Jodie) Sperry of Harrison, MI; grandchildren: Chris Sperry, Jonathan Sperry, Kyle Sperry, Brandy Caswell, Shannon Mitchell, Loni Brushaber, Nicole Sperry, Faye Sperry, Frederick Sperry, Shawn Sperry, Matthew Sperry, Shelby Sperry, Veronica Sperry, Thomas Sperry, Ellen Preston, Russell Sperry Jr., Tiffany Sperry, Josh Sperry, Steven (Veronica) Sperry; great grandchildren: JJ Sperry, Triston Mitchell, Amiah & Allissa Sperry, Benjamin Preston, Mackenzie Sperry, Adain Sperry, and Seth & Shandon Sperry. He is preceded in death by his wife, Donna Sperry, his parents, brother, Jarvis Sperry, sister, Helen Fitting, and his grandchildren, Jared and Brian. Visitation at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch, MI will be Friday, June 13, 2014 beginning at 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Ken Peterson will officiate.
