Francis F. Vos

Francis F. Vos, age 86, passed away Sunday, February 3, 2013 at Bortz Health Care in West Branch. Francis had lived in West Branch since 1991, formerly of Bay City. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII and the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening and flowers. Francis is survived by his children, Janice (Jim) Harder of Bay Port, Frank (Mindy) Vos of Eaton Rapids, Dennis (Cathy) Vos of Palestine, TX, Patricia Brissitte of Pinconning, Michael (Barb) Vos of Gettysburg, PA, Julie (Jim) Remilong of West Branch and Robin (Doug) Stack of Midland, 16 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and two on the way. Also surviving is his niece Kimberly Vos of West Branch, his sister Florence Van Octen of Essexville and his ex-wife Phyllis Elliott of Pinconning. He was preceded in death by his grandson Cory Vos, his mother Viola Vos, brother Adrian Vos and sisters Loretta Glaza and Dorothy Dubay. Visitation will begin at the Ogemaw Hills Free Methodist Church in West Branch on Thursday, February 7, 2013 beginning at 1:00 p.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Harvey Fry will officiate.
