Frances Eloise Korte

Frances Eloise Korte, age 90, of West Branch, Michigan, passed away on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at The Brook in West Branch, surrounded by family. She was born on January 26, 1933, in Tunnel Hill, GA to Joseph and Alice (Dickson) Wimpy. Frances was a loving and caring person, known for her kind and compassionate nature.

Frances had a variety of hobbies that brought her joy throughout her life. She loved to read, go for walks, and exercise. Spending time with her family and friends, playing games, was always a cherished pastime for her. Frances also dedicated her time to volunteering at the children's library, which eventually led to her being hired at the library. She was an active participant in the Senior Olympics, showcasing her enthusiasm for staying active and healthy.

Frances is survived by her daughters, Linda (Ray) Tadajewski and Diane (Byron Nielson) Roddy; granddaughter, Adrianne (Nelson) DeSousa; grandson, Russ Tadajewski; great-grandson, Torin DeSousa of New Hill, NC; sister, Edna Castleman; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, William Rodman; second husband, Robert Korte; three brothers, and four sisters.

Cremation has taken place, and no service is scheduled.
