Floyd “Larry” Sarles, age 81, passed away on Friday, March 30, 2018 at Gladwin Nursing and Rehab Community in Gladwin, MI. He was born on April 9, 1936 in Silverwood, MI to Ross and Gretta (Murry) Sarles. Larry had lived in Gladwin since 1985, formerly of Kingston. On November 12, 1977 Larry married Maybelle Bemis. He retired from Assembly at Saginaw Steering Gear. After retirement, Larry delivered meals on wheels and loved every minute of it. He was a people person, wanting to brighten up others day. Larry enjoyed working in the yard, watching deer and birds that would come into the yard. He also enjoyed watching his grand kids and great grand kids play in the yard. Larry was a long time member of the Secord Lake Eagles and also attended the Oak Grove Log Church.
Larry is survived by his wife of 40 years, Maybelle H. Sarles; 14 wonderful children; 51 grandchildren; 49 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Larry is preceded in death by his parents, Ross and Gretta Sarles; brothers, Arnold, Hilton, Dean and Russel; and sisters Lita and Wilma.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Oak Grove Log Church on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at 12:30 p.m. Pastor Paul Klassen will officiate. There will be a luncheon following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Oak Grove Log Church.
