Evelyn D. Miller

Evelyn D. Miller, age 83 of Rose City, passed away Friday, June 14, 2013 at McLaren Bay Region Hospital in Bay City. Evelyn was born October 19, 1929 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Edward and Marie Katzberg. Evelyn lived in Ogemaw County for most of her life. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, camping, traveling, birds and taking care of her animals. Evelyn is survived by daughter, Sally Killinger of Rose City, son, Ed (Jane) Miller of Rose City, son, Jeff (Brenda) Miller of Linden, MI, grandchildren, Melody, Melinda, Melissa, Melette, Victor, Greg, Jimmy, Tracy, Shawna, Christina, Travis, Trey, Sheree, Joshua, Jayden, Nikki, Jamie, Sheri, Dawn, Angie, 16 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are sisters, Marie Miller of Lupton, Ruth (Don) Gilmore of Lupton, and sister-in-law, Della (John) Miteen of Mio. She is preceded in death by husband, Richard Miller and son, David Miller. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin Tuesday, June 18, 2013 from 2-9 pm. The Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 am at St John Lutheran Church in West Branch on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 with visitation from 10:00 am until time of service. Rev. Howard Travis, Pastor will officiate. Burial will take place at Lane Heights Cemetery at 3:00 pm.
