Eva J. Reed

Reed, Eva Age 86, passed away Sunday, October 15, 2006 at the Bortz Health Care in Rose City, MI. Born, raised and then retired in Alger, Michigan. Eva taught in a one room school house in Milida, MI. She was a supervisor at Hudson's in Madison Heights and in retirement she volunteered her time working with the Alger Tax Advisory Board, she also sang in the choir at St. Joseph Catholic Church of Alger. On October 15, 2006 her late husband Sherman Reed and daughter Karen Delong waited for her at the gates of heaven. Eva was the dearest mother of Sandy (Paul) Franzosi, Trudy (Paul) Cassise, Ronald (Phadia) Reed and the late Karen DeLong. Loving Grandmother of Brian, Michael and Nicholas Franzosi; Joseph and Toni Cassise; Stephani, Alexandra and Anthony Reed; James Dean and Shane DeLong. Dear Great Grandmother of Eli and Alisha Franzosi, Jordan and Savannah Dean, Skylar and Landon De Long. Eva is also survived by her brother Peter Charnoske. A Funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, October 17, 2006 at 12:00 PM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church 7842 Newberry St. Alger, MI 48610. Visitation will be held 2 hours prior from 10-12PM. Father Jerry Niedermier will officiate. Burial will follow at the Alger Cemetery. Memorial contribution to the Alzheimer Association would be truly appreciated.
