Eugene Short

Eugene Short, age 65, passed away Saturday, February 25, 2006 at his home in St. Helen. He was a resident of St. Helen since 2001 formerly of Plymouth, Michigan. He married his wife Barbara on May 17, 1962 at Breathitt Co., Kentucky. Eugene belonged to the UAW, enjoyed cars, traveling and being with his family. Surviving family members include Eugene's wife Barbara of 43 years, son Dean (Wendy) Short of South Lyon, daughters Patricia (Ken) Nowak of Howell, Lesha Stockton of St. Helen, Sandra (Steve)Thomas of Howell and Nicole Short of Howell; grandchildren Samantha, Stephanie, Alexis, Jimmy, Colleen, Abigail, Sydney and Thomas; brother Ollie (Francis) Short of Florida, sister Helen Terry of Kentucky, sister Delsey Smith of Kentucky, brother Ance (Fannie) Short of Kentucky, sister Amanda (Pierce) Johnson of Kentucky, brother Richard (Francis) Short of Kentucky, brother Bob (Ina) Short of Kentucky and sister Susie (Buck) Smith of Kentucky. Visitation at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in St. Helen will be held on Monday, February 27, 2006 from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Tuesday, February 28, 2006 from 11:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. The funeral service will be at 3:30 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Travis J. Goff officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in St. Helen. Contributions may be made to the family.
