Eugene M. Horn, age 86, of Rose City, passed away Sunday, August 26, 2007 at West Branch Regional Medical Center. He had been a resident of Rose City since 1988, formerly of Roseville. Mr. Horn was a member of the Brick Layers Union #1. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking and wood carving. Survivors include his wife, Mary Lou of Rose City. They were married July 11, 1947 and had just celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. Also surviving are their children; Daniel (Carolyn) Horn of Almont, Terrill (Doreen) Horn of Lake Orion, Colleen (Bob) Easterbrook of Madison Heights, and Tina (Steven) Kovalcik of Richmond, grandchildren; Cari, Lisa, Cathy, Kelly, Kenny, Robbie, Kaitlyn, Kyle, Jonathan and Ellen and 8 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is his sisters, Frances Cunningham of Curtisville, Mary Kamin of Brighton and Lila Hopper of Armada. He was preceded in death by his brothers, James and Gerald Horn. Visitation at the Lupton Friends Church in Lupton will be held on Wednesday, August 29, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 4:00 p.m. Pastor Matthew Smith will officiate. On Thursday, August 30, 2007, visitation will be held at the Hopcroft Funeral Home in Madison Heights from 2-9 p.m. On Friday, visitation at Hopcroft Funeral Home will begin at 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place at Cadillac Memorial Gardens East in Mt. Clemens.
