Ervin A. Schneider

Ervin A. Schneider, age 80 of Rose City, passed away Friday, December 28, 2012 at his home. Erv was a member of the Rose City Fire Department, serving as chief for 15 years, a Cumming Township trustee for 21 years and he worked with the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling including many hunting trips and dancing. Erv is survived by his wife, Beverly of Rose City, MI, his children, Shereen (Randy) Sauer of Jackson, Gwen (Bill) Kinney of Elgin TX, Vern (Debbie) Schneider of Elmira, Joe (Carolyn) Schneider of Rose City, Leonard (Sonya) Schneider of Rose City, Lorraine Schneider of Elgin, TX and Ken (Connie) Schneider of Gaylord and grandchildren, Tim and Dan Schneider, Zachery Holloday, Skyler and Taylor Schneider, Tom and Tim Herrick, Jenni and Sara Heri and Bethany & Katie and numerous great-grandchildren. Also surviving are his brothers Melvin (Marty) Schneider, Leo (Sandy) Schneider and his sisters Carolyn (Dale) Thompson, Ruthann (Skip) Fischer, Virginia McQuiston and his brothers-in-law Bob Rau, Bob Kartes and Charlie (Joyce) Grezeszak and Junior (Connie) Grezeszak. Visitation at Holy Family Catholic Church, Klacking Creek will begin on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass at 11:00 a.m. Fr. Patrick Maher will officiate. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Rose City Fire Department, Holy Family Knights of Columbus or to Holy Family Catholic Church.
