Erma R. Miller

Erma R. Miller, age 95, passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 in West Branch, MI. She had lived in West Branch since 1937. Erma was born to Floyd and Stella (Brand) Thomas in Hope, MI on January 10, 1919. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Erma taught ceramics for many years and enjoyed doing oil paintings.

Erma is survived by her children: Joyce (Bill) Walters of West Branch, MI, Sharon (Ken) Robinson of Midland, MI, William (Sandra) Miller of Swartz Creek, MI, and Kay (Charles) Nichols of South Branch, MI; 12 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren; and siblings: Thelma Herzberg of Clio, MI, Mildred Jupe of Sanford, MI, and Esther O’Dell of Sanford, MI. She is preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Stella; husbands, Willard Miller and Floyd Cole; daughter, Sonya Bennett; and siblings, Matilda Thomas, Elmer Thomas, Wilford Thomas, and Almond Thomas.

Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Sunday, December 7, 2014 from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be at the funeral home on Monday, December 8, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be at Brookside Cemetery. Pastor Mark Walker will officiate.
