Emma “Rosie” Alfretta Rosebrugh, age 87, passed away on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at her home in Lupton, MI surrounded by her family. She was born on October 17, 1933 in Lupton to William and Ida (Lovewell) Rosebrugh. Rosie was a homemaker and raised her family in Standish. She then took a job as a teacher aid with Sterling Elementary, Arenac County Courthouse, and worked in the laundry department at Bortz in Rose City. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, crocheting, cooking, and spending time with her family.
Rosie is survived by her children, Clarence (Bonnie) Wenkel of West Branch, Paul (Leslie) Wenkel of Georgia, Mark (DeeDee) Wenkel of Atlanta, MI, David Wenkel of Gaylord and Fred (Kim) Wenkel of Twining; 23 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, and 8 great great grandchildren. She is also survived by siblings, Paul (Anna) Rosebrugh of Lupton, Linda Jaynes of Oklahoma and Grace Dooley of Rose City. Rosie is preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Kathy Wenkel, son, Gary Wenkel, grandsons, Gary Wenkel and Cody Chittren, and siblings, John, Roxie, and Frank.
Per her wishes, cremation has taken place.
