Emily Bernice Wangler

Emily Bernice Wangler, age 65, passed away on Friday, December 26, 2014 in Prescott, MI with her loving family by her side. She was born to Bruce and Mary Lou (Creegan) Gordon in Detroit, MI on November 9, 1949. Emily had lived in Prescott, MI for the past 45 years, formerly of Garden City, MI. She worked as an RN at Sterling Medilodge where she started in 2000. She lived every day to help others and thoroughly enjoyed her career. Emily enjoyed the outdoors, yard work, riding motorcycles, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was always proud of her children, and her children were always proud of her for always being there and taking care of others.

Emily is survived by her loving husband of 10 years, Garry “Moose” Wangler of Prescott, MI; children: Rochelle Thorson of Prescott, Travis (Carrie) Thorson of Prescott, Ole Thorson of Prescott, Jason (Katie) Wangler of West Branch, and Melissa (Brad) Bertossi of West Branch; grandchildren: Erica, Jason Jr., Emily, Cori, Triniti, Erika, Faith, Taite, Archer, and Crystal; and 8 sisters. She is preceded in death by her parents, Bruce and Mary Lou, and sister, Grace.

Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Sunday, December 28, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Rev. Dan Stoneback will officiate.
