Elton L. Hales

Elton L. Hales of Prudenville, formerly of Saginaw, died October 19, 2006 at his home. Elton, 71, was born in Saginaw to Elton and Emma (Dickfoss) Hales on September 12, 1935. He married Mary A. Warriner on June 21, 1957 in Saginaw. Elton worked for General Motors at the Nodular Iron Plant in Saginaw retiring in 1988. Elton is survived by his wife, Mary A. of Prudenville. 5 children; Jeffrey L. (Linda) of Northfield MN., Diane L. Powlus (Daniel) of Hudsonville, Mi., David J. (Cindy) of Concord, MI., Michael A. of Jackson, MI. and Steven D. (Andrea) of Alger. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Janet M. Schattilly on August 8th, 2005 and his parents. The family will be receiving friends at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch on Friday from 3PM. to 5PM. and from 7PM. to 9PM. The funeral services will be held on Saturday at 4:30 PM. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Roselawn Park Cemetery, Saginaw. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Helping Hands.
