Elizabeth (Betty) Saleske

Elizabeth (Betty) Saleske, age 98 of West Branch, passed away November 17, 2009. Betty had lived in West Branch since 1974, formerly of Detroit. She was a member of the Women of the Moose and the Rebekah's both of West Branch, a member of First United Methodist Church and the Tolfree Hospital Auxiliary. She volunteered for Hospice of Helping Hands and West Branch Regional Medical Center. Betty is survived by her brother, Richard Bales, her sister Peggy Vinskunas and 10 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Alfred in 1997, her brother, Louis Bales and her sisters, Irene Eismann and Helen Lawless. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Friday, November 20, 2009 from 1-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church in West Branch. Pastor Lisa Cook will officiate with burial following at Brookside Cemetery, West Branch.
