Eleanor S. Kaarre

Eleanor S. Kaarre, age 85, of West Branch, passed away Thursday, November 25, 2010 at Bortz Health Care in West Branch. Eleanor had lived in West Branch since 1968. She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in St. Helen, volunteered for Tolfree Hospital Auxiliary for 40 years, and worked for District #2 Health Department retiring in 1984. Eleanor is survived by husband, Reuben of West Branch, son, Rev. David Kaarre of Traverse City, son, Rev. Martin (Darla) Kaarre of Rexford, Montana, daughter, Lois Kaarre of Bloomfield Hills, MI, daughter Mary (Sean) Doran of Williamsburg, MI, sister, June Eaton of Seattle, WA, and sister, Dorothy Richards of Lansing. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin Sunday, November 28, 2010 from 2-5 pm, Monday, November 29, 2010 from 4-8 pm. The funeral service will be held at Hope Lutheran Church in St. Helen on Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at 11:00 am. Rev. Rodney Morrison, pastor will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to Hope Lutheran Church in St. Helen.
