Eleanor F. Debuck

Eleanor F. DeBuck, age 85 of Rose City, passed away Monday, September 5, 2011 at Bay Regional Medical Center. Eleanor had lived in Rose City since 1960, formerly of Mt. Clemens. She married Clarence DeBuck on May 1, 1946 in Roseville, he preceded her in death on March 10, 2010. Eleanor enjoyed crocheting and embroidery and taking care of and spending time with her family, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Eleanor is survived by her children, Mary (Earl) Grezeszak of West Branch, Jeanne (Dale) Teeples of Rose City, Raymond (Jo Ann) DeBuck of Attica, Shirley (Richard) Nelson of West Branch, Joseph (Phyllis) DeBuck of East Tawas, Sharon (Robert) Fetters of Sterling, Lorraine (Scott) Munn of West Branch and her daughter-in-law Linda Rhodes of Big Lake, Alaska, 27 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are 2 brothers, Roman VanThomme and Blasé VanThomme and her sister Charlene Sheppard. She was preceded in death by her son Francis “Frank” De Buck, a grandson Wesley Grezeszak, a great-grandson Gage Fetters, 2 brothers, Raymond VanThomme and Edmund VanThomme and her sister Leona Klingkammer. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in Rose City will begin on Monday, September 12, 2011 from 1-9 p.m. with a Scripture Service at 7:00 p.m. On Tuesday, Eleanor will lie in state at Holy Family Catholic Church beginning at 9:00 a.m. until the celebration of Eleanor’s life at 10:00 a.m. Fr. Patrick Maher will officiate with burial following at St. Joseph Cemetery, West Branch. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
