Eleanor E. Avram

Eleanor E. Avram, age 91, passed away Sunday, September 7, 2008 in Park Ridge, IL. Eleanor was a resident of Alger for many years and lived the last 5 years with her daughter Julia in Chicago, Illinois. Eleanor worked for the Chrysler Corporation for 27 years. She loved to play Bingo and enjoyed going to Bingo with her daughter-in-law Clarice. She loved eating her favorite candy Strawberry Cream Savers and ice cream. She always had a beautiful smile for her grandchildren and especially her great-grandchildren. Her great- grandchildren loved her dearly and were privileged to spend a lot of quality time with her. Eleanor was a devoted mother and was deeply loved. Eleanor is survived by her two children, Julia(John) Bonadona of Chicago, IL, David(Clarice) Avram of Alger, grandchildren, Jennifer Maurer, Susan Bonadona, Debbie Hicks, Daniel Avram, David Avram Jr. and great-grandchildren, Raven, Paul, Matthew, Bridget, Chad, Colton, Ricky, Mark, Tonya, great great-grandchildren, Colby, Samantha, Jordan, Daniel, and Kala . She is preceded in death by husband, Peter Avram. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin Thursday, September 11, 2008 from 3-9 PM. Funeral Service will be held Friday, September 12, 2008 at Alger United Metodist Church in Alger, MI at 11:00 AM with visitation at church from 10:00 AM until time of service at 11:00 AM. Pastor Jon Gogeon will officiate. Burial will follow at Alger Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to Alger United Methodist Church.
