Eldryde Vittitow

February 9, 1928 — February 26, 2014

Eldryde (Ellie) Vittitow passed away peacefully on February 26, 2014 at her daughters home in West Branch, after a short battle with cancer. She was a wonderful Wife and Mother, and will be dearly missed.
She was born February 9, 1928 in Muskegon, Michigan to James F. Christopherson and Blanche (Allen) Christopherson. On May 9th, 1948 she married Anthony (Andy) R. Vittitow in West Branch. They were Lifelong residents of West Branch until 1976 when they retired to Chiefland, Florida. They returned to West Branch in 2008.
Eldryde is survived by her two children, son Anthony E. and Susan (Schultz) Vittitow and daughter, Marjorie and Pat (Nonie) McKenna. Grandchildren: Dr. Joel and Denise (Vittitow) Shilling, Jenny Vittitow, Scott and Adria (Franklin) Vittitow, Jillian, Sally and Emilie Schultz, Chris and London (Bellefleur) McKenna, Jesse and Vanessa (Schumacher) McKenna. Great Grandchildren: Grant, Ian, Carter and Reid Shilling, Luke Weaver and Tyler Revoir, Claira Elly and Loic McKenna, Chad (Schumacher) and Aiden McKenna.
Ellie lived the last six years at Victorian Trails. She loved the special friends she made there. Ellie loved watching old TV re-runs like Gunsmoke and old movies from her era. Her favorite sports teams were the Michigan Wolverines and Florida Gators. She loved reading, putting together puzzles with her apartment friends and she was an avid card player. Just a few months ago she was zip lining with her daughter, Margie and a bunch of close friends and relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband Andy in 2008, her parents, two brothers and four sisters. She will leave a void in all the lives she touched.
